The Malachite-DSP is an "all-in-one" portable SDR that is controlled via a touch screen and two control knobs. It covers 0.1 MHz to 2 GHz with a bandwidth of up to 160 kHz, and the custom software supports all common modulation types. It is sold by AliExpress, Walmart, Amazon, and other retail sources. It was originally developed in Ekaterinburg, 620135 Russia by the Malachite Team which  consists of professional and enthusiastic engineers with extensive experience in technical fields, including the development of radio communication equipment, automation systems. malahiteam@gmail.com +7 (912) 044 04 73

  • Burlakov Vadim, radio amateur callsign R6DCY;
  • Gordienko Vladimir, radio amateur callsign R6DAN;
  • Igor Naumenko, professional engineer, enthusiast.

There is a pdf manual available.

  • This receiver also can be used as a High-precision Spectrum Analyzer with Spectrogram.
  • Select the WFM mode and set frequency to 90~110MHZ to enjoy the WFM.
  • If you need to receive AM or LSB USB, please buy the right AM Antenna.
  • This is already registered version. Do not need to pay for register code again. Frequency is 50Khz~250Mhz and 400Mhz~2Ghz.
    • Mode: Malahit DSP SDR Receiver H2000
    • 3.5-inch display touch screen;
    • Controls: 2 encoders and touch screen;
    • 160 kHz span, with scalability;
    • a sound unit, the bass sound quality is very full
    • The receiver is built on the principle of SDR-the function is determined by loaded software;
    • All types of analog modulation: WFM, NFM, AM, LSB, USB; (CW)
    • Powerful functions: variable filter width, adaptive noise suppressor, threshold noise suppressor, for Noise Blanker, AGC, equalizer;
    • It is powered by an external TYPE-C interface and battery (Built-in battery 25 00mah)
    • Consumption: 300mA when listening to headphones;
    • The reception on built-in telescope Antenna come with this receiver is a 80~600MHz antenna. To improve the HF reception connect external antenna.
    • Connect to computer via USB, update software by DFU if needed

Tips: This receiver also can be used as a High-precision Spectrum Analyzer with Spectrogram.

 In the video, Mirko Pavleski hackster.io shows you how to connect this radio to a personal computer on SDRSharp software, which allows decoding of many digital radio signals such as Weather Fax, Slow Scan TV, and many more with a help of Free Virtual Cable software. In this way, this small universal radio gets even more usability.

The presented method is tested and works on Windows 7 as well as Windows 10. The device must first be connected to a USB port on the computer via the supplied USB cable. It is very important to first plug the cable into a USB port and then start the receiver by pressing of start button for 3 seconds, to install the drivers. Now we have to wait for some time. Note that the previously mentioned versions of the operating systems contain drivers for this radio so there is no need for special installations. We will now check in the device manager if the device is installed. As we can see, 3 positions are installed. Also are installed Two virtual com ports.

After this, we need to make some settings in the sound device in the Control panel. In the "Playback" tab we need to set Radio Receiver (Malachite headphone) as a default communication device, and in the "Recording" tab we need to set the malachite Spectre (malahit IQ) into a default device.

Now the settings section in Windows is complete, and we start the SDR SHARP software. The only thing we need to do in is in the SDR SHARP SOURCE tab to select the option "IQ From Soundcard". SDRSHARP now represents Panadapter for this small receiver. This way with the help of one of the Virtual cable software we can decode almost all digital signals.
